NGABWE USHERS IN 2025 WITH 13 NEW YEAR BABIES

While the rest of the world celebrated the dawn of 2025 with fireworks and festivities, Ngabwe District welcomed the new year with the cries of 13 newborns—a heartwarming reminder of life’s miracles.
Dr. Vincent Mwila, the District Health Director, (DHD)and his dedicated team were at the heart of this joyful occasion, ensuring safe deliveries across health facilities in Ngabwe, Mukubwe, and Chisanga Mini Hospitals.
Their tireless commitment marked the start of the year with a celebration of life and health.
To honor this remarkable beginning, Ngabwe Town Council Chairperson, Bordern Kaleubuka, stepped forward with baby hampers for the proud mothers.
The gesture was not just a token of goodwill but a symbol of the community’s collective support for its newest members.
During the presentation, Mr. Kaleubuka congratulated the mothers on their safe deliveries and shared an important message for expecting mothers in the district.
He emphasized the importance of delivering at health facilities, urging women to seek professional care to ensure their safety and that of their babies.
“It is the wish of His Excellency the President, Mr Hakainde Hichilema and the government that no mother should lose her life while giving life,” Mr. Kaleubuka said. “This is why the government continues to employ more health workers and prioritize healthcare for all.
