REVIEW: PROJECTS COMPLETED and ON-GOING….
As the year comes to an end, we reflect on the projects completed in 2024 and those continuing into 2025:
COMPLETED PROJCETS
- Borehole Drilling:
- Drilled 19 boreholes in Chisanga, Mukubwe, Luamala, and Nagbwe wards at a total cost of K1,406,000.
- 2. Infrastructure Development:
- Completed Bwembelelo staff house in Mukubwe ward at a cost of K170,000.
- Electrified both Bwembelelo Primary School and staff house. This was done under Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Local Authority and Rural Electrification Authority (REA)at a cost of K1,000,000.
- Road Maintenance:
- Maintained a 15-kilometer stretch of the road from Lualaba checkpoint to the Ngabwe-Mpongwe boundary at a cost of K1,850, 000
- Education Support:
- Procured and distributed 300 additional single-seater desks and chairs across all wards, costing K450,000.
ON-GOING PROJECTS
- Bridge Construction:
- Construction of the Katembe Footbridge in Chisanga ward; project cost is K452,392. 50
Construction of the Luamala Bridge, with a project cost of K1,694,070.00
- Road Maintenance:
- Ongoing maintenance of a 24-kilometer stretch of road between the checkpoint and the Ngabwe-Mpongwe boundary, at a cost of K170,000.
- 3. Feeder Road Rehabilitation:
- The Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development (MLGRD) has funded two major feeder road projects:
- Rehabilitation of 32.2 kilometers of the Luamala and Nsengwa-Chishimu feeder roads, at a cost of K38,602,582.92.
- Rehabilitation of 18 kilometers of the Chisanga-Kakonko feeder road, costing K25,684,688.64.
With the exception of the last two, all the projects are Constituency Development Fund (CDF) funded. We remain dedicated to delivering impactful projects that enhance the lives of the communities we serve.
