District Commissioner Stanely Mwendacabe, accompanied by engineers from the Road Development Agency (RDA), conducted an inspection of the ongoing spot improvement works on the Ngabwe–Kabwe Road, a strategic lifeline for trade, mobility and socio-economic development in the district.
The works are progressing well, with the team now shifting camp to focus on the stretch between Chimanimani and Kakoma Stream, a section previously rendered difficult for motorists, particularly small vehicles, due to rough terrain and exposed rocks.
The rehabilitation of the Ngabwe–Kabwe Road is critical to improving connectivity, easing the movement of people and goods, supporting agricultural value chains and unlocking greater economic opportunities for communities along this important corridor.
